Operating Theatre Medical has grown from a single factory in China to a global partner in medical textiles, driven by innovation, quality, and trust.
2004 – A Beginning in Hubei
The story started in 2004 with the foundation of Operating Theatre Medical Hubei. From the very first day, our vision was clear: to deliver reliable, safe, and high-quality medical garments to healthcare professionals worldwide.
2006 – 2007 – Building Trust
Within just two years, OTM Hubei earned its first international certifications: ISO 9001, ISO 13485, and MDD in 2006, followed by FDA registration
in 2007. These milestones marked our commitment to the highest standards of quality and compliance.
2016 – 2019 – Expanding in China
As demand grew, we expanded by building OTM Zhijiang in 2016. This new facility quickly achieved ISO 13485 certification (2017) and successfully completed the BSCI audit (2019), reinforcing our dedication not only to quality but also to responsible and ethical production.
2020 – Responding to Global Needs
In 2020, OTM Hubei secured its PPE license, enabling us to play a vital role in supplying protective equipment during a time when the world needed it most.
2023 – A Global Step Forward
To meet the increasing demand, we expanded beyond China and established Operating Theatre Medical Bangladesh in 2023 – our first overseas production site.
2024 – A Year of Milestones
This was a year of breakthroughs:
- OTM Zhijiang achieved MDR, ISO 13485, and PPE licenses, and completed FDA registration.
- OTM Bangladesh
proudly launched its first production.
2025 – Growing Stronger
Our commitment to sustainability and quality was further recognized when OTM Zhijiang earned ISO 14001 certification. At the same time, OTM Bangladesh achieved ISO 13485 certification and successfully passed its BSCI audit. With rapidly growing production capacity, Bangladesh has become a key pillar in our global supply chain.
And our journey doesn’t stop here. With the upcoming BSCI audit completion in Bangladesh (November 2025), we continue to build a future where quality, responsibility, and innovation go hand in hand.
